Yields excellent honey. Comes up at the foreshore as well as in the creeks of inner estuary.
Leaves are used against tiger bite, neuralgia, rheumatism, expectorant. Roots are used against asthma, paralysis and young leaves are used to treat arthritis, warm leaf is used to relieve pain by snake bite
